Oct 2022, a large shopping mall in Nanjing, China suddenly caught fire. The shopping mall covers an area of about 60,000 square meters, with a main building of 5 floors housing over 1000+ shops. The chimney effect caused the fire to spread rapidly and make firefighting extremely difficult.
Matrice 300 RTK, Matrice 30T, Mavic 3 Thermal were used to provide comprehensive rescue support throughout the disaster.
M300+P1: capture panorama images and transmitted real time image and video to command center. Build 2D 3D model and share across project team via Flighthub2.
M30T: capture infrared thermal image, measure spot temperature and area temperature to eliminate smoke interference, mark fire points and share location to high-spray vehicles. M30T Continuously monitor temperature and provide timely feedback to firefighters.
M3T: build thermal modeling to share across command center and project team via flighthub2.
15 drones were flied alternatively to keep monitoring for 20 hours after fire extinguished. 12 smoldering points were identified.
